It's Great For Me...
I decided to buy 2 of these yesterday after reading some reviews. If you have only standard dvds then you probably wont be satisfied with this product as the shelving isnt made to perfectly hold standards in order. if you have alot of blus, it will work with some judgement. I have blu rays on the 1st and 4th shelves and dvds on 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th shelves as you can see. the only way i got this to work is if you are willing to fix all shelves by screwing each board into place perfectly. you could just set the board onto each row but it may put too much weight on the bottom row. I suggest you screw each shelve in place. The backboard to this product has a major crease from it being folded, but you cant see mine anyway. This is pretty much exactly what i was looking for. about 15 mins to put each together, so its pretty quick. i think overall it looks nice for what i need for $27 each.

Great alternative for a media "tower"
I bought this because I could not find a media tower specifically for Blu Rays. However after assembling this piece, I found that I could not only store my Blu Rays but also my video games, DVD's, and even my manga!Since it has adjustable shelves I could perfectly fit them to the height of my DVD's, another shelf to the a different height for my Blu Ray's, and so on. I did not feel the need to fix it to the wall, however many people with kids or pets may opt to do so, is great that they give you the option.

Great looking, inexpensive media rack
I had initially bought 4 of these back in the spring of 2007 when I first moved into my new home and wanted to get my CD/DVD/Blu-Ray discs organized. I had an empty wall which I had lined them up with a small book case at the end. These racks weren't a store-stocked item so they had to be delivered to my home after ordering them online.Just yesterday, 9+ years later, I decided to move that small bookcase to my garage and wanted to fill that empty space. I looked online at Walmart for a similar media rack and to my delight, found the exact same one still available for purchase and pick-up at my local store. My only concern was due to the extraordinary long time frame, the new rack might not match my current ones in color, style or dimensions, despite being the same exact product. After assembly, the new rack matched my old ones, except for one minor difference.1. the adjustable shelves do not have a groove along the bottom for the dowels so they do slide forward and sit a bit higher.Color and design are exactly the same as the production units from 2007.Very pleased!

Useless for DVD storage
This shelf is useless if you plan to store only DVDs in it - two full shelves' worth of space is utterly wasted because with the one stationary shelf in the center, there is no way to position all the included shelves in order for them to accommodate DVDs - two of the shelves will only allow CD size cases to fit, and one shelf will not even be able to be placed in the unit. I was looking for a unit to store DVDs, and this is a ridiculous waste of space and money since I can't even use a third of the space it takes up, due to its idiotic design. I would return it except I had to build the unit in order to discover its uselessness. See attached picture with one DVD on each shelf to show just how pointless half the shelves are, and last shelf which will not even fit into the unit due to massive design flaw., leaning against the front of the unit

Versatile shelf - perfect for grade schoolers.
I had an idea for a floor-to-ceiling corner bookshelf for my children's room. The depth of this case is perfect for video game cases, chapter books, stuffed animals, pinewood derby cars, lego creations, trophies, and most of the other "stuff" kids collect. The assembly directions were simple enough that I was able to modify 4 of these into one large unit. Using the middle fixed shelf as a guide, I drilled matching holes in the top fixed shelf so it could be used as a an additional middle shelf. I did the same with the bottom shelf and also cut it to match the depth since I knew I would be attaching it to the wall. I spray painted the bottoms of the shelf gloss black to look nicer from below. Finally, I overlapped the 2 large cases at the corner and attached using the 4 single screws I had left. You can see the final product in my picture.I have no doubts a single one of these towers would be great as well. The major complaint I've seen is wasted space by people who want to store DVDs only. If you're willing to store a few horizontally, an individual storage tower will actually hold 152+ DVDs (4 rows of 30 and 4 stacks of 8) with very little space to spare.Read more
