nice bookcase, bad shipping
I brought this bookcase to use as a self in my closet, I received it damage, but for what I am using it for it will not matter. I added a photo of the damage area. Nice bookcase but when it comes to shipping of the product, it just gets thrown around or it was damage before it left the manufacturer. Either way they need to add more foam in the packaging to protect the bookcase.2 thumbs down

Better than other reviews said.
Given some of the problems that other buyers mentioned in their reviews, I approached the purchase of these shelves with a degree of skepticism. When theyarrived and I got them assembled, I was very pleasantly surprised. All the pieces fit, nothing was broken and they looked great! The two, together, fit perfectly in a space in my den made for a television stand. Deep enough for my flat screen on top and I was able to cut a small hole in the backing for all the cables necessary for cable, wifi router, blue ray player, etc. Even a place for my printer and a spare laptop - plus loads of book space. Actually liked them so much I ordered a third for more books and DVD storage. Note: I glued all the pieces together and the cheapy cardboard backing was what kept me from giving them 5 stars. Other than the back, the black ones look far more expensive than they were.

Sauder 2-Shelf Bookcase
The unit came packaged and was very well protected and had no damage. The unit was easy to assemble and looks very good. My only complaint was that I was missing one shelf pin and you could see the some of edges where two surfaces met (dark finish contrasted with particle board color) (reason for 4 stars vs 5 stars). I called the manufacturer and they sent me a replacement shelf pin and also sent me a touch up finish marker even though I did not ask for that. Overall, it is a very good value and half the cost of similar bookcases. It is also very sturdy. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there is clearance for binders on both shelves. I was prepared for being able to only fit binders on one of the surfaces. I would buy this again and had excellent customer service.

Great look for a great price
I just opened a counseling practice and needed a small bookcase. I saw this and decided it would be adequate. It turned out to be more than adequate. Weight give it a very solid feel. Has very professional look. Most of all. . . It was easy to put together.

Great little bookshelf
Ordered this bookshelf to go in our daughter's playroom. It was easy to put together, finished product looks expensive.
