Inexpensive, but cheap
I purchased this because it was within 1 inch of what I needed in all dimensions. (Unfortunately for me, the shelf heights are just about 1/4-inch too short for something I wanted to store. Nevertheless, not a deal breaker.) I was not expecting something from the Ethan Allen collection - and I was right. The top does not want to sit flush on the sides - it sits about 3/8-inch higher and you can see the bolts and dowels connecting the sides and back to the top. Not a big deal for me. I might have been able to get it lower with some pounding, but I did not feel that was a good idea. The instructions were not inadequate - they were non-existent. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how this works. I was done within 10 minutes - most of which was removing parts from the box.If you need a cheap bookcase of this size, and looks aren't terribly important, go for it. It does look OK. I wouldn't want to put it in my living room, though.

Flip Flop two shelf bookcase
I had previously purchased Flip Flop desk and this two shelf bookcase fits at one end of desk and really finishes it off. Not too hard to assemble once you go to homefurnitureshowroom.com and download assembly directions. 10 pieces of hardware and there are 10 holes in top of piece and no instructions come with it. You have to be smarter than I am to figure out where each piece of hardware goes without instruction sheet. If you order the pieces directly from the Walmart site, the price is much cheaper than ordering it from one of their associate sites that show up on the Walmart list.

This is a quality item. And the company that makes it, Regency, has terrific customer service. I couldn't be more pleased.

Great storage shelves
This bookcase is quite nice, however it came without dirctions for attaching the top -- strange packet of hardware that takes special directions for use. I've contacted the maker -- Regengy --but have yet to receive the information I need.Once the top is attached tho' it would no longer be considered a floding bookcase without disassembling -- I may just set the top on in a less permanent fashion with dowel pegs, so that I can fold it when it comes time to move.The shelves accomodate 3 riing binders and seens sturdy enought to hold the weight.

good product poor packaging
The box it was shipped in was pretty battered, but when I opened it, there was no damage to the bookcase. However, the connector bolts had fallen out of the plastic bag they were shipped in and it took a while to locate them all in the the rest of the packing material. Although there were no assembly instructions, the product top shelf bolts orientation was easy to figure out.
