Good looking bookcase!

Customer Rating

I bought this bookcase in black and it's a good deal for the price. I particularly liked that it had doors on the bottom so I could hide some of my old cookbooks that don't look all that great anymore. There is also a shelf behind the doors which gives you even more storage room. I hired someone to put this together, so I can't speak to the ease of assembly, but it sure looks nice when it's assembled. Remember, this is not a solid oak bookcase, so don't expect it to hold extra heavy weight. There are also punch-out holes in the back by each shelf in case you want to use this as an entertainment center.

Very nice library units

Customer Rating

I bought two of these to hopefully match a new cherry desk. The finish on these matched as close as I could have wanted. They look very good with the other piece. The first one took about three hours to put together, the second one just over two hours. Make certain to follow the instructions exactly and pay close attention to how the pieces are represented in the documentation and you shouldn't have many problems.Of course, since these are "engineered" wood, you don't have the strength of a solid cherry piece but each shelf will hold approx. 25lbs, more than enough for most people.Overall I'm very happy with these, the way the look, the style, and especially the price.

Sauder Palladia bookcase

Customer Rating

Things started out well - holes lined up, connectors sliding into the pre-drilled holes well, etc. Then the instructions got hard to follow, pictures were not detailed enough as to what edges were supposed to match or be offset, or what. Then some of the screw holes (parts O and P and the skirt pieces) had no holes predrilled for the screws so I had to create them myself. Then one of the metal door handles wasn't threaded correctly so I couldn't tighten it down properly. I am calling Sauder today to get replacement handles. Overall, a nice looking piece of furniture but it took a lot longer than I anticipated. I was expecting more from Sauder (I've put together quite a few of their products over the years)

Very nice book shelf

Customer Rating

I paid $160 for this bookshelf. I spent a couple of hours assembling. Looks like a solid wood bookshelf. Very nice and very heavy. Shipped promptly.

Exactly as pictured

Customer Rating

This fits perfectly into my living room. There were nineteen steps (along with many sub-steps) to assemble it, so it took a few hours to put it together. I took a couple of breaks so it wasn't too bad. I can put my games and some baskets in the bottom cabinets and books and maybe a couple of knick knacks on the shelves above. I really love this piece.
