Pretty--but QC poor
Seems sturdy enough once assembled and I enjoy the style, but the quality of the veneers on the wood shelves is poor (thin and easily damaged). Also quality control on the metal frame is poor (paint job so-so and arrived with pieces bent even though there was no indication on the packaging that it was damaged during shipping--easy enough to bend them back into place without permanent damage). Also was unnecessarily difficult to assemble. Instructions say to use hand tools only. I used my drill anyway with the clutch set to lowest setting so I wouldn't strip the poor quality hardware. The screws are all located too close to the frame so that either a drill or even screwing by hand is difficult as the uprights are in the way (got some sore knuckles). I've assembled loads of ikea stuff and wish I would have made the hour trip there instead of shipping to my door through Walmart!
