Good For Price
Overall I'm pleased with this product. It was simple to put together no real guessing with the instructions. I think the product looks nice, and for the price I think it's great. As we knew when we purchased this that the back is cardboard, and if there are no books (things) to hide it, it doesn't look very attractive. Another appearance complaint is that the doors on the bottom have a quarter of an inch gap.

Beautiful and Sturdy
Although the product arrived well-packaged, one of the doors was cracked. A quick call to Sauder customer service took care of that & three days later I had a new unblemished door, free of charge. The bookshelf part of this piece was a cinch to put together, but installing and adjusting the doors was a giant pain in the rear (tip: loosen up the depth screw before you try to install the doors). The library is heavy & the shelves have stood up well these past two weeks with daily use. In time I'm sure I'll see a little wear, but that is to be expected. The only thing I would change about this piece is the width. I would like to see it available in a 36" width to match the heavy-duty Sauder bookshelf I bought. Other than that, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase and would definitely recommend this product.

good... but comes cracked, dinged and scratched.
I have bought several other sauder items from wlamart in the past and wanted a bookcase that would match. The first time this item came it was in pieces. large planks were cracked in half and many dings and scratches. We returned it to the store then ordered it online again. The second time it came it had several dings and nicks but this time I decided to keep it since I could conceal the minor flaws with decor. This is not one of those pieces of furniture that will last several moves ( new homes) nor would you pass it down to your kids. It looks great but of course at this price it is not real wood but instead particle board with a plastic coating that looks like wood. I am happy with my purchase because I knew what I was getting ahead of time. Just be prepared to have the parts in the box be flawed. They try to package it nicely so I know it has to be the shippers that could careless about the boxes they throw around and drop on the ground.

satisfactory for the price
any really inexpensive bookshelf like this is going to be a bit wobbly and nothing like a solid wood bookcase would be. i bought 2 online without seeing them in-store first. this is pretty much what i thought it would be, though i thought that sauder could have included small grooves under the shelves (like they do on other models) to hold the shelves in place better. assembly was quick and painless. i really like the color. overall, i'm happy with it considering the low price. i included a picture (low quality cell phone pic); i live in an old apt blg in chicago and i removed the double doors from a closet and put 2 of these bookshelves side by side in the closet. $100 more for some ikea bookshelf lights and i'm happy with the result.

Beautiful bookshelf! Love the finish!
I bought this a couple weeks ago and it's perfect for my home office. I paired it with the Sauder New Cottage Desk and it looks awesome! When my mom can to visit, she couldn't get over the fact that the peices came from Walmart.FYI, It took a little over an hour to put together. The doors are a total pain in the neck to put on and get even. Patience is a virtue :)
