Great Product. Packaging not good enough
I have been purchasing International Concepts products for years and the 4-tier mission shelf is great. The packaging is not great, at least not good enough to survive abuse by Federal Express. I purchased two units and had to combine parts from both to have a working unit.

Mission shelf unit, unfinished
This shelf unit is of solid wood construction and is quite sturdy, making it a good value. There are a few pieces that didn't stain as evenly as I'd like, as well as a few knots, but overall the finish looks good. The only negative, though not critically important, is that the user must mark and drill all the holes in the shelves needed to secure them to the frame. So, when the instructions list a Phillips head screwdriver as the only tool required for assembly, that's not accurate. I would still recommend this product, based on the solid construction.

Recommend only to those who own a drill...
The bookcase is easy to assemble for the most part. The problem was that the shelves for the very top and bottom did not have pilot holes for the screws. I live in an apartment in a mostly senior area where drilling, hammering and sawing are frowned on so I used a good glue and glued them on without a problem. Parawood is beautiful and looks a lot like unfinished butcher block. Although I am happy with the bookcase and recommend it, I doubt that I will buy from this manufacturer again due to the extra labor it would have taken to put together what is supposed to be a ready-to-assemble out of the box piece of furniture.

Good bookcase
Very nice bookcase especially after staining. Not hard to stain or put together but it is a pain with the hex key system. Sturdy and well put together. Glad i bought this model.
