Perfect addition to any room
I moved to a new home and needed something to display picture frames and looked for all different types of tables and shelves. This ladder bookcase seemed like a great way to do that. I got it in the black (only color option) and it looks true to the photo on the Walmart site. There are two individual bookcases. I'm female and had no problem putting them together even though at first when you take out all the pieces it looks intimidating. All the pre-drilled holes lined up nicely and I used the included allen wrench and phillips head drill bit to put the bookcases together. It feels and looks relatively sturdy. I am pleased with the appearance. There is really only one negative thing I can say about the bookcases. After handling the pieces, my hands had a dirty, black looking film on them. I had to scrub my hands afterward. I wiped the bookcases down with a furniture-safe polish and the rag I used turned black as well. I'm hoping this is just the initial handling and the color will not continue to rub off. I would still recommend them at this point. I am including pictures (taken with my phone) so you can get an idea of the size and scale of the bookcases.

Worth every penny
These A-frame bookcases are extremely sturdy. Use a drill to put them together. A screwdriver works, but both my brother and I had nice blisters on our palms. These shelves look more expensive than they are. Excellent quality for the price. I have them on either side of my fireplace and am beyond pleased with the result.

Nice Shelves
Love these shelves. The only reason they got 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was a little issue of holes in the wrong place. An easy fix if you have a drill though. People complained about the metal sides but I like them. You can't even tell unless you touch it.

Love it!
I love this set! Looks great in our living room and only took about an hour to set up. Directions were easy to understand but it helps having two people. We were looking to downsize from a huge wall unit and wanted something that could still hold all my pictures & decor- this fits everything! Also, it has a clean, modern look & goes with everything- great item for the price!!! :)

I was really impressed with these shelves they look great also u get two for 100.00 dollars u can't beat that more then what I was expecting from walmart at that price. very heavy and sturdy
