Scratches All Over-Damaged Note Concealed on Pkg
Ordered 2 black units online--home delivery; received them separately a few days apart. When boxes opened, nothing was between pieces to protect from scratches/damage. Both boxes had highly visible scratched pieces; however, in 2nd box, EVERY SINGLE PIECE was scratched/damaged. Many loose wood particle pieces in both boxes. When outer plastic wrap removed from beat up 2nd box, I could see "X Damaged" had been written largely with marker and large white label sticker had been used to conceal it. Assembled minorly damaged unit without problem: it's sturdy, heavy, and very nice EXCEPT FOR VISIBLE SCRATCHES. Used Sharpie marker to mask scratches; looks okay w/o close inspection. So disappointed to receive such scratched-up and damaged product, which would have otherwise been very high quality for great Walmart price! Will contact Orion (Toronto) per assembly instructions to see if they will replace totally scratched unit or otherwise return to Walmart.

company lacking in the quality control dept. .
We bought this for our grandson's new room. It arrived two days later then stated when I ordered it which was one day late for our big reveal. Second, it was damaged. Not just scratched but deeply gouged! The package was in perfect condition so one can only assume that the company does not hold a high regard for customer satisfaction or quality of the product they are selling. The ONLY reason I did not return it was because we wanted to get the room done.We tried to hide all the scratches so that they would be on the sides that would not show. Not an easy task since SEVEN of the twelve boards were damaged.Also after ordering it I found the same item ( maybe not the same company) in the store for ten dollars less! Very annoying!

Love it!
I bought this on sale and it's definitely a good purchase. The wood is very thick and sturdy. Assembly took about 20 minutes, and I did it by myself. I would recommend this!

worth the assembly time
it looks good for the price. no one will mistake it for a high-end piece of wood furniture --- its not, but good for a casual room (home office, hall storage, dorm) make sure to set aside 40 minutes to put it together. assembly goes faster with a friend.the backing piece is basically cardboard and is only finished on the front side. We put this against a half wall and had to paint the back of the backing piece.
