the shelf is very nice and looks great, however i when we put it together my husband got to the very last piece and it didnt fit i had to get a bottom shelf and one whole side from the company. it took 3 weeks for us to get replacement parts and it finally fit but the back piece still sits wierd in it. looks good but i would recommend something else.

JUNK! WRONG DIMENSIONS! DO NOT BUY!
I bought two of these to put on either side of my fireplace. I only opened one box. The dimensions were closer to 11" wide x 11" deep, not the 16.4 x 13 that they claim, thus my cable boxes and dvd player that I purchased these for, would not fit. Secondly, I would have kept them to use in another room, but in the box that I opened, staining was uneven and there was a large crack in the back piece of wood that ran nearly the entire length of the bookcase. I didn't even bother opening the second box. Luckily Walmart offers in-store returns on their purchases. Back to the store they went!!

Lookes beter then I thougth you will get your moneys worth, woods a little thin but itf not pressed wood it will last a long time. easy to put together ok directions

A little disappointed
I was a little disappointed with the shelf. It was easy to assemble but all of the pieces did not fit together and there are gaps and discoloration.

I love this bookcases. It give an accent to my home and also the color math with the rest of my furniture. It resist heavy weight books. I have photo albums and books with hard cover and this book case meet the expectations. You can use for any kind of storage not only books, you can put boxes with children toys.
