Company's Customer Service
I ordered two of these bookcase's and the first one I opened, was missing the wooden dowel pegs. I decided to go ahead and open the second box to make sure nothing was missing. Assembly was easy and it looks great, however, contacting Convenience Concepts customer service was an ordeal! I called on Monday and left two messages, which were never returned, so I decided to contact them through email. I did receive an email back wanting to know the item number for the wooden dowels. There is no item number for the dowels on the packing slip, so again I explained that I was just missing the wooden dowel pegs and then my email was never answered. I waited two days and emailed them again, and no answer. I tried to find the pegs at a nearby store but they do not carry the size you need to assemble this. I called again yesterday and finally talked to a "live" person, and they should be sending the pegs out to me. The customer service is bad for the company, but I am pleased with the one that I have put together. If I based my rating on just the product I would give it a 5, but since their customer service was an issue, I'm giving them a 3.

Not sure it worth the effort
Was somewhat disappointed in this product. I have some doubts about the stability of this product. The side bars butt together, supported by 2 wooden dowels, and 1 screw. Others I've seen were notched, making them sturdier. Shelves are thinner than some other shelf units of the same type. Also, shelves are supported by 2 dowels and a screw. Others I've seen had notches in the side bars for the shelf to sit in and screws. The bottom shelf was very difficult as the hole for the barrel/cam to sit in was not deep enough to work. Had to drill the holes deeper, ended up going through the shelf. Thought it was just a random thing, but it was the same with both units we bought. Saw another product of the same type at another store, only $20 more, I wish I had seen it before I put these together. Only had for a week, will see how it holds up.

Nice Shelf - some difficulties in assembly
The color and quality of the shelf unit above were overall quite nice especially for the price. The assembly was simple and straight forward with the exception of two holes which were drilled deeper than the rest and caused us a delay of about 20minutes in figuring out and correcting. We did manage to resolve it.

Nice shelf
Overall good shelf for price and fairly easy to assemble. I would recommend. We used in our office/workout room.

I was originally trying to buy another set of ladder wall shelves, that I had purchased in the past, but can not seem to find in stock anymore. I was a little concerned about buying another brand, afraid that the two finishes wouldn't match up, but I was very pleased with the outcome even though these are from a completely different manufacturer. They were a little time consuming to put together, but completely worth it. I love the way they look!
