good bookcase with some drawbacks

We got this as store pick up and box is very heavy so be aware.My husband put it together fairly quickly.Bookcase is a nice size and fit in a very small space and takes up little space.It looks like the shelves hold a good amount of weight.It however is not as big as i hoped for- the spaces between the shelves are adjustable but taller books will not fit on all the shelves at the same time. I made the necessary adjustments in order to house a few books on one or 2 shelves only but the next shelves are more narrow bc of this.There were some problems this product- the Footboard or base board was not aligned well-not a big deal bc it still sits well without shaking on our carpet but on a hardwood floor would not.A few holes are not cut out well/deep enough so that adjustable wedges pieces do not fit in every hole.Overall, not bad, did the job and we are using it.

Great Buy

This was my first time ever putting something like this together but it took me almost an hour which I thought was fast. The end result is great all the pieces were there and went together without a fight. I used it to hold DVD's, hair accessories, and I put towels on it as well so it seems pretty sturdy. As far as the appearance the very top is not finished but that doesn't bother me outside of that it looks like the picture. I took pictures of it so take a look for yourself. I am very satisfied with this shelf it serves its purpose.

Looks cheap

I give it two starts because so far it has functioned as a shelf, which it was the description said it was. I was assuming that it was going to be a decent looking shelf but I was mistaken. The edges and corners were worn on arivial. The bottoms of the shelf have nothing on them so you can see wood.On top of that site-to-store was terrible. I assumed wal-mart would work like any other retail company, but I guess not. Avoid site-to-store if possible.

Terrible delivery

Do not purchase this product online. When I received the product the two longest boards were broken in half. This product is too delicate to be shipped through UPS as they do not ship it with care.
