Quality product

Customer Rating

I have purchased this bookshelf the 4 cube organizer and the coffee table and absolutely love all 3 products. They are very easy to put together, and not too time consuming. So far seems like great quality and I love the look of it. Had a ton of compliments and people are shocked that it's come from Walmart for such a reasonable price.

Excellent directions, wobbly product

Customer Rating

Of any item that I have ever put together, this one had the easiest directions (by far). The instruction book has only thirteen well-written steps and will provide a good laugh throughout the project. If I had not taken all of the breaks that I did, this would have probably only taken me about an hour to complete. The most time consuming part of putting this bookcase together (at least for me) was trying to correctly tighten the cam and dowel systems. I am quite familiar with this system and have had to use it before on other projects, but on every other project there was also at least two wooden dowels (without the cam) for each side that would be secured with wood glue to the next piece; wood glue and wooden dowels are not used at all with this piece. I found it, at times, frustrating and difficult to adequately tighten some of the systems (my biggest problem was with the top of the bookcase, which was step two). Although the angle of tightness was correct with the systems, the boards would wiggle around (which I was uncomfortable with), but ended up moving onto the next step when it became obvious that I could not get to a point where the boards wouldn't move around. When the entire unit was finished, it was much more stable, although I would recommend putting in small support brackets in between the two side boards and the top of the case. The doors weren't terribly difficult to adjust, although I may have gotten lucky from just fiddling around with the screws. If I could recommend any changes to someone putting this together, it would be these: install the bottom molding after turning the bookcase over, screw the handles onto the doors before installing the doors to the bookcase (it's much easier than trying to install them when the doors are already set up), and install your own support brackets against the top of the bookcase and against the top shelf within the enclosed space (not against the movable shelf, but against the fixed shelf) for extra stability.

Perfect!

Customer Rating

It arrived a week before it was scheduled! Was superbly packaged and wasn't too hard to put together! The only difficulty I had with it is arranging the doors! OMG!!! And I kind of was expecting that from previous reviews but didn't expect it to be that hard! I had ordered 2 of them. So the first one is still not exactly done to perfection (doors wise) but the 2d came out right from the first attempt! So I think it's the luck of a draw! They are very beautiful and sturdy! For the price it's just PERFECT!!!

This was so easy to install, I just simply followed the directions. It did take me a couple hours just because I was taking my time to be sure I did it right because this was my first time putting furniture together. I love the end result though, would recommend!!

Bookcases

Customer Rating

I love the bookcases! I bought them to store my DVD collection and they work perfectly. We had already bought the tv stand and fell in love with the line. Great quality and great price. Beware, they weigh a ton, be sure to have some strong arms nearby!
