I'm Lovin' the Shoal Creek Bookcase
This bookshelf is great for the price! I wanted something to use as media storage in our living room and was having trouble finding something in an espresso color to match the rest of our furniture that didn't cost an arm and a leg. That was until I found this bookcase. It arrived right on time and VERY well packed. I've assembled numerous furniture pieces before, so I thought this shouldn't be too hard. Wrong-O!!! Whoever wrote the instructions/drew the diagrams for this needs to review it before it's mass printed. The diagrams were backwards from the instructions! The legs are the first thing they have you put onto the SIDES of the bookcase. I had to take the legs off and on 3 TIMES, to get it to line up correctly/make sure the legs were pointing to the BOTTOM of the bookcase and NOT the TOP(again the diagram is opposite the instructions). The actual assembly wasn't so hard, just confusing due to instruction discrepancies. It took me 4hrs to assemble it by myself, about 40min of which was dedicated to adjusting the screws on the door hinges to level them(this is to be expected on any doors/hinges on 'assemble yourself' furniture, although some are easier than others). TIP: When you install the BACK legs use something to make sure they are even with the FRONT legs and EACH OTHER(the front legs are installed using pre-drilled holes, cam-heads and screws so their placement is guaranteed, the back legs, YOU have to line up and hand screw yourself so they're a little tricky)so you don't end up with a wobbly bookcase. Over all the bookcase is VERY sturdy and expensive looking. Also, has plenty of storage. It's deep enough to store 2 rows of DVD's/VHS' front to back on each shelf. Each shelf holds up to 25lbs and the storage underneath is big enough to store board games...etc. I would definitely recommend this bookshelf to anyone who's on a budget and looking for something beautiful and sturdy.

Nice Enough...I used it to decorate my Spa room
I purchased this piece because it was nice-looking and I knew it wouldn't be as big as it appears on screen. Still, customers say it looks like it cost more than I paid for it and it gives a decent shelf space to hold sale products so there's that. I think I got what I paid for. As far as durability...I don't know that it would hold up under too many moves but if I stay in this location, I think it will last

WONDERFUL bookcase
I bought 2 of these bookcases. I also bought the matching desk. These look very expensive. I am very happy with all 3 pieces.

Looks good
The shelf was fairly easy to put together. Make sure you look closely at the diagram because the details will make the difference in putting the correct pieces together.
