You get what you pay for!!
I bought two of these bookcases for my office. These will eventually be replaced. Just know going in that these are not high quality bookcases. They are cheaply built, but serve their purpose for now. They are particle board, so I don't expect them to hold up especially if they have to be moved at all. The top is held on by the flimsy (basically cardboard) back and 2 locking cams on the front side. Yes, this bookcase is a 2 piece unit, one sets on top of the other. Also, note that the side panels on the bookcase at the top are unfinished. If you are putting this bookcase somewhere where people can see the top, you might want to go with another bookcase as you can see the uncovered particle board at the top. I wasn't very happy with that.One of the bookcases had a couple parts missing, and I had to go online to Sauder to order replacement parts. It is still sitting in my office partly assembled. The company does not include any extra parts in their packaging, so you better make sure you have everything before starting assembly.

Excellent Buy
I love the color of all of the Sauder Cinnamon Cherry pieces, they are beautiful in my family room. I purchased one 5 shelf bookcase, as well as two 3 shelf bookcases and the entertainment stand. Considering purchasing the desk for my bedroom as well, as I love these products so much! I did have them delivered site-to-store, and also had them assemble the pieces for us, as I am currently pregnant and it was more convenient for my husband and I to not worry about putting it together ourselves. Site to store shipped a whole week earlier than we were told! Wonderful experience and my first online buy ever! very pleased with all aspects of this purchase.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME TRYING THIS PRODUCT
I was skeptical about buying this product because of the price, however, I was brave enough to buy it. The packaging was perfect. However, it did not even pass the assembly test, it was broken on the first attempt to install a screw. SERIOUSLY, NOT WORTH THE TIME OR EFFORT.

I purchased a total of four of these. Two 3 shelf and two 5 shelf. They cover an entire wall of a room and accomodate my new flat tv, books and various decorative stuff. I didn't put the cardboard backs on and secured them to the wall. It fits beautifully and looks custom.

Was very disappointed
Although the bookcase was the perfect color for the room, I was unable to assemble it. I have a lot of experience assembling flat pack items, but this was one of the worst experiences I have gone through.--the panels did not have labels/markings to easily ID them in the plans--the wood screws had flat ended threads, the the heads stripped too easily making them impossible to adjust or remove (I do not have that much upper body strength, and was using a hand screwdriver).--the top section is attached to the bottom section w/only 2 cam bolts and 2 metal pins. The top stripped off the cam bolts when I went to turn it to nail on the back.I am returning it to the store as soon as I can and getting my money back.Read more
