EXTREMELY STURDY & FUNCTIONAL
I've absolutely run out of room for any more toys (for my 3 yr. old Granddaughter) every available spot is filled with toys boxes, toy baskets, toy tables, etc. & w/ Xmas closing in, I had to at least clear her toy table for new Xmas goodies. After lots of searching I chose this one & I'm glad I did. Since I had to put the bookcase in the hall at the top of the stairs, it couldn't be too deep, so I worried that it wouldn't hold very much but it does!! It holds everything from the toy table & I still had room to add stuff that was stacked in a sm. red wagon. The bookcase is surprisingly sturdy and nicely weighty. Unlike some others that said it was difficult to put together, I had no problem, I just put one side piece up against the couch & had it put together in under 30 minutes. I think anyone looking for a decent bookcase without spending very much would find this to be an excellent choice.

Holds a lot!
I purchased this online without seeing--kindof scary. Asked Customer service if they could tell me the dimensions between the shelves and couldn't get an answer. So...I took the chance and ordered it anyways since it was the biggest bookshelf that I could find that I thought might hold all our family scrapbooks.It holds all 20 scrapbooks but not perfectly upright like I was hoping. Still does the job for what I wanted, so I am very happy with it.It is solid wood and was easy enough for me to assemble alone while the kids were out and have loaded when they returned.

Excellent bookcase - great size and design
First, instructions stated (takes two people), I did it alone and I'm 63. There was one drawback, one of the screws for the top would not go through. We are currently living in an apartment because of a house-fire and do not have a drill; so had to leave as is. Also, the little "buttons" that cover the screws don't all fit well. Other than that, I really, really like it. I have one more to put together.

Beautiful wood
After shopping around the Internet, I kept coming back to this best value for my money. My little granddaughter visits us frequently, and I read to her each time. I wanted to create a place for the many used books that I've picked up for her here and there. The bookshelf arrived in perfect condition with everything in order. My handyman husband says it went together rather easily. I love the sleek light wood finish. The shelves are sturdy and hold all the books with no sagging.

functional solid wood, but sloppy finish ruins it
I purchased two for night stands in our bedroom. Easy to put together. I did both in about an hour. Made of solid wood, heavy and sturdy. Very sloppy finish - uneven, areas not done. I had to look at each shelf and try to decide which side looked ok to face up. When both sides were terrible, ended up using it for the bottom shelf because books would cover it up. For the price shouldn't need to do this. Also who ever drilled side holes pushed too hard which splittered chunks of wood out. Solid wood but poor craftsmanship in rushing to finish and drill ruined them both. Only kept them because they're the right size in our room and company wouldn't see them. Would have returned if used elsewhere.Read more
