Advertised as wood; It's only particle board.
This unit looks nice when assembled, and it's inexpensive. But I don't appreciate the ad stating that it's made of wood when it's actually made of particle board (which is sawdust and glue) that has been covered with vinyl to look like like wood. In the mind of consumers, wood means just that -solid wood. Wood byproducts, such as sawdust that has been held together with glue, should be required to state "particle board" in the advertisement, rather than being presented as something that it is not. Also, the back of the bookcase is not wood either. It's a cheap piece of cardboard that's covered with vinyl on one side to look like wood. This unit is disappointing. Is it worth $200? You be the judge.

Gorgeous, substantial bookcase!
Incredibly heavy, but very good quality! This is such a beautiful bookcase; it looks much more expensive than it costs. It holds a lot of books and objects! Extremely pleased with this!
