My husband, an engineer for 27 years said it was easy to put together and very good quality. Looks good, just as pictured, we use it for shoes.

Handsome, High-Quality, Versatile Bookcase
I LOVE this bookcase because: (1) It fits perfectly in my narrow space; (2) feels solid & sturdy, even the back panel (which is usually cheap veneered cardboard in my other bookcases. The Alera has a sturdier wood backing); (3) LOTS of predrilled holes, so you can raise or lower 4 of the 6 shelves to almost any height. Note that the middle shelf is screwed in permanently for stability & the bottom "shelf" is the base; (4) Great value & quality: This is a handsome piece of furniture which looks like it came from a furniture store.The instructions recommend 2 people to assemble, but I did it myself in 2 hours. I'm guessing with 2 people, it would've taken 60-90 minutes. Only caution is that I had ordered the "Medium Cherry", which is a little redder than I had imagined. But for such a reasonable price, i can live with that.

Very Attractive Bookcase
We bought two bookcases and as my husband was putting them together he kept remarking on how well made they were. Now they are in our study and they look great! We have them kitty corner in one of the corners which isn't what we planned, but it looks nice. I would definitely recommend these to others.

Perfect size
We needed more storage that would fit a small space. This bookcase fits perfectly and gives us the space we needed. It is an attractive wood color and looks nice with our furniture.
